The Houston Public Library houses a collection of Descriptive Video Service® (DVS®) videos. DVS® videos are modified to meet the needs of persons with visual impairments. By describing visual content not available to the visually impaired user, the enhanced soundtrack allows the user to more fully experience the medium and access the information it contains.
The DVS® Video Collection consists of popular VHS videos enhanced with DVS® technology, including feature films and documentaries suitable for both children and adults.
