Central Library
The Houston Public Library Central Library has begun its previously announced Summer Schedule, providing a new service schedule just for the summer. The Library will be closed on Sundays until Saturday, August 21, 2010. The Central Library is located downtown at 500 McKinney, 77002, 832-393-1313.
Kendall Neighborhood Library & Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research
Beginning Thursday, July 1, 2010, both Kendall Neighborhood Library and Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research will change their schedules. Kendall Neighborhood Library will add hours, opening on Saturdays. Clayton Library Center for Genealogical Research will open on Fridays and close on Mondays.
Both changes are as a result of ongoing evaluation of the new systemwide schedules implemented in April 2010. A formal evaluation of all HPL schedules will be made once an initial six-month-period has passed for an in-depth look at the effectiveness of the new schedules and review of customer feedback.
