Get ready for Houston's book and arts festival for the general public that highlights Hispanic writers and showcases the vibrant culture of the Latino community!
Take in the sights and sounds of bilingual storytelling, poetry recitation, children's activities, writing workshops, musical and theatrical performances, and much more.
Featuring a lineup of acclaimed writers talking about "Heroes, Villains and Monsters," "Cops, Desperados" and debut poetry: Sarah Cortez, Guadalupe Garcia McCall, Manuel Ramos, René Saldaña, Jr., and Gwendolyn Zepeda.
Performances include the Express Children's Theater (Legends of Wind & Fire), mariachis, Happy the Clown, Houston Grand Opera's Storybook Opera, and Open mic by SpeakOUT, a part of Houston Public Library's LGBT Series.
LibroFest is part of HPL's month-long celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
