Crossing the Pond: Searching for Your 19th and 20th Century English Ancestor

Description: Many English citizens came to this country in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in search of a new beginning. Maybe one of your ancestors was among them? This session will help the beginning researcher identify the kind of records available to track down that elusive ancestor and where he came from. The emphasis will be on passenger lists and naturalization records in this country, and the Civil Registration index, censuses and parish registers in England. Adults/Teens. The Jews of Texas: History and Records
