What is Money Week Houston
Money Week Houston is a week long celebration of financial education events, seminars and workshops throughout the greater Houston area. Money Week Houston is scheduled for September 14-20, 2008 and will focus on financial educational topics that include: General Savings, Home Ownership, Retirement Savings, Investment, Credit, Consumer Protection and Small Business Development. Use this site to find classes and events near you. Most all events are free and offer unbiased financial education.
Money Week Houston is aimed at helping to improve financial literacy throughout Houston. Houston's initiative is similar to successful promotions run by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in the cities of Chicago and Detroit. However, Money Week Houston is the first ever city wide campaign in Houston. We are proud to have the collaboration of FDIC Alliance for Economic Inclusion that consist of more than 250 financial literacy leaders across Houston and the state. The goal of Money Week Houston is to reach Houstonians with a wide variety of financial resources. Workshops, seminars, programs, events and other activities will help you and your family, students, homeowners, businesspersons, employees and other community members expand your opportunities through citywide seminars and events.
