Lemonade Day

Sunday, May 4, 2008

Children and Teens Can Register at any Houston Public Library to Participate, registration continues Thru Saturday, May 3, 2008.

Sunday, May 4, 2008 is the 2nd annual Lemonade Day hosted by Prepared 4 Life and its many community partners. Children and teens can register to participate through Saturday, May 3, 2008 at any of Houston Public Library neighborhood locations or they can visit www.LemonadeDay.org. To find a neighborhood library location visit www.houstonlibrary.org or call 832-393-1313.

Kids need to pick-up a registration form from the Library and get their parents to sign it, and then return it to a Houston Public Library neighborhood location. When Kids return their signed form, they will receive a backpack (while supplies last) with a Parent Guide and a Workbook. The workbooks will teach students participating in Lemonade Day about budgets, securing investors, choosing locations and making signs. In addition, Prepared 4 Life will cover life-long lessons for a successful business including customer service, starting a saving account, and giving back to the community—and of course, how to make lemonade!
