The Library of Tomorrow

My idea of the library of tomorrow are glasses that you could download books into, like seeing a movie in front of your eyes, but in words. You would never have to look for that book that you left behind and you could download unlimited number of books into the glasses. Also if you don’t remember the title of the “book” then you would say, “search” and then say either the subject or other key words to find the “book”.

Other advantages to having the glasses is that you would never have to drive to the local library and you would never pay for a late book. Also the voice-activated feature would allow page-turning for the book that you are reading and also if you want to go back you say,” go to page forty nine” and it will go all the way back to that page. Having voice-activated glasses would also be helpful for people who need glasses to read. These special glasses would take the place of their reading glasses.

The glasses would not only be in English, but it would be in many other languages like Spanish and German for foreign speakers. Now anyone could find a book to read at this library.

I think that these glasses would be great for everyone because they would have a low price of $20.00. There are hundreds of different styles no matter what kind of glasses you like there would be a style for you.

Also if you don’t have a computer at home then you can come to one of the kiosks at your local mall. Here they will let you use the computers to download books onto your glasses and will help you if you have any problems with the glasses.

People who read in groups or in a book club could say the group ID number and they are connected. While you are reading you say,” pause” and everything will stop, even with the other people’s glasses. This will allow you to talk with the people in your group and talk about the book, but you will only be able to read in a group of eight.

I hope that this idea for the library of tomorrow will spark inventor’s ideas and actually happen. I know that a great majority of people would start reading a lot more and I bet that people would become smarter from reading more. I know I would!!!!
