The Library of Tomorrow

The library has played an important role in my life till now; therefore an image of my future ought to include the library of tomorrow. Currently, the library is like an open casement through which you can reach to eclectic branches of knowledge and literature, but why not let the library of tomorrow outstretch to cover even a broader variety?

I imagine the library of tomorrow to embrace works from every culture in this world. Every society contributed to form one world-wide civilization, and each one of them deserves a closer look that will open our minds to many diverse styles of life from which we could learn a lot. In the future, libraries would contain works of literature from every single country in the world, in various languages, with facilities to translate easily, and even contact pen friends from different countries through the library.

Different authors would be in contact with the library, and they may pay visits sometimes. Teens would be able to e-mail real authors through the library website, to learn from their experience as successful people and believe more in using their full potential in order to achieve their big goals, and even look up to them as role models.

The library would organize clubs and groups in which teens will be encouraged to make use of what they read and learn through competitions that require a presentation about a certain topic, book, current event or common issues. They will express their opinions freely and present in front of peers and parents, and the committee that will judge their work, which will also add to their speaking skills and their creativity.

Researches about various subjects, like chemistry, physics, outer space, and more, would be available at the library for students and even adults to make use of. NASA reports, medical researches will and latest information about unusual and complicated diseases will also be accessible.

The library of tomorrow will be an ideal and complete place to get any facts, data and knowledge. It will also be a fun place where you can learn things that you don’t learn at school. It will be a place that everyone will enjoy.
